Old-school personal development gives standard techniques to achieving success.

This is not one of them.

Whatever your goal is - becoming wealthy, healthy, finding a life of success or happiness is as individual as the person who hopes to accomplish it. In achieving these goals, decide now that part of this process is not to simply take what you are given.

Achieving success sometimes involves resisting the "almosts" and the "good enoughs." Not here. I listened to a podcast recently where the narrator explained that you should just "accept the way things are."

I didn't get into the personal development game to take the leftovers. Achieving success in my world is done to my satisfaction....and mine alone.

When you look to manifest the life of your dreams, get what you came for. Go after that goal until it comes to life in every vivid detail. There are too many people who fold up when things get close, and they settle for what they are given.

If you have made the decision to push to a life of success - fight for the whole package ! Never settling means never having to wonder if you could have done better !

If achieving success is your goal - never settle, and take what is yours !

Setting Goals - The Life Coach Courses

Setting goals is today's lesson in the Life Coach courses.

Everyone, everywhere has them. Goals. The difference between having them and setting and achieving goals is what seperates true students of personal development from the chronic daydreamer. Much of what we have been taught about setting goals is effective, and applicable today, but parts of the process are misleading.

In setting goals, your greatest weapon is your imagination. Your goals can range from career and business goals, financial goals, health goals and so on. The important thing to remember is to think BIG ! In the theater of setting goals - it takes no more energy to set a big goal, than it does to be super conservative and go after a little one. This is the fun part - let it all hang out and go after the big fish!

Don't take this step to lightly though. Have some fun with it, but know that setting goals is strictly business. Before you put pen to paper with what you want to achieve, know that it had better be something that you are willing to put some work in on. Here is one of the myths of old-school goal setting. It's easy.

Not so much...

Setting goals is easy. Achieving them is work - and you will trip and fall, you will want to quit, and you will get disgusted at your lack of progress. Told ya this isn't for those who are not commited. Hence the reason you need to see a vision that will almost haunt you with how good it will feel when you obtain it. Otherwise - this goal you just set - is just a "wish."

Dig deep and identify goals that stir your soul and make you commit to achieving them more than you want your next breath. Once you have it, we can work on how we will achieve that goal - next time !

For now, concentrate on setting goals and I'll see you in the next post of The Life Coach Courses...

Life Coach Courses - Learn Success

The Life Coach introduces - life coach courses !

Are you still on the fence with whether or not you should entrust your future to someone who doesn't even know you? For some, this fear, which lives deep within their hearts and minds, seems an unbeatable enemy. By making a decision to overcome and takinga leap of faith, you can beat whatever it is that you fear.

Before we begin, we must understand. Explain to yourself that having a fear is ok. Many times acknowledging that you have a fear sets in motion the internal belief that something is wrong with you. There is nothing wrong with you. Make peace with yourself that you are not disabled, disadvantaged or flawed in any way. Everyone - and I mean everyone has fears of some kind. The fear is there, and your main focus now is overcoming it.

Next on the list of fear basics is this. You won't get rid of it completely. Your efforts here are to reduce fear and the effects of it. Don't think that because that feeling is still there that you have failed. Again, your goal is to press on despite the fear, and limit the grip it has over you.

Identify Your Fear Target

The first key to overcoming fear is to positively identify what it is that you are afraid of. Don't just take this step at face value and say - "I fear talking with people in a social atmosphere." or "I fear public speaking." Choose to dig deeper and really focus in on what your fear really is. Are you afraid that you will make a mistake when doing this activity? Are you afraid of what others will say or think about you? More directly, ask yourself -

"What do I fear ABOUT what I'm afraid of ?"

Once you have clearly identified your target, we can move on to reduce its effects.

Study What You Fear

Learn all that you can about what haunts you. Someone somewhere has experienced this fear as well. Learn how they overcame it and the skills they used. Study the methods that those that are not afraid of this demon use to better themselves in this area. The more you know about your enemy allows you to easily defeat them.

Activate The Skills To Be Fear-Free

Practice the techniques you have uncovered in the last step and work to become fear-free. No need to jump right in with both feet (unless you feel you can.) Work in the comfort of your own home in privacy. Like any new skill, repetition and persistence are your greatest allies. A mirror works great for simulating other people. Talk with family and friends. Practice doing the tasks associated with the fear as though you were really there. Start small and never knock yourself for making small victories. Congratulate yourself on having the courage to take action.

Overcoming fear is a monumental task with the reward of becoming fear-free at the end of the journey !

The Life Coach Motivation for Success

Looking for the secret to Motivation for Success ? Read on...

Life coaches and personal development junkies everywhere search for keys to keep us motivated on our journey to success. Some skills work, and others...well...not so much. Read on for a realistic view on motivation and how you can find it and keep it !

Success motivation begins internally.

In a nutshell - in order for your life to be a success, it is up to you. Motivation begins and ends with what's inside. You can support that feeling of being fired up about your goal by reading articles and attending seminars, but in the end - you must make your own motivation.

Consistent action trumps all.

Unfortunately, this is something most goal achievers don't want to hear. Yes, there will be alot of work involved in achieving your dream life.

It takes years of work to become an overnight success.

Action, however small, is the biggest guarantee of success. By motivating yourself daily, move forward into doing something - anything, that you feel will move you closer to that particular goal. At times, success motivation must come from deep inside - and that may mean forcing yourself to work when it is the last thing from your mind. Overcoming fear and taking action makes success happen.

Expect to work without results.

It's gonna happen. You are going to start like a bull in a china shop. Motivation through the roof, and a "nothings gonna stop me attitude." You'll bust ass for about a month - see no results, get disgusted and quit. It's a guarantee. Break this chain of success motivation self-destruction. Persist under any conditions. In those times of disgust - THAT - is exactly when you need to continue. Work without looking for the immediate reward. Success is a marathon - not a sprint.

Keep a vision.

Constantly remind yourself WHY you are pursuing success. This vision of what you hope to achieve is a huge source of motivation. Get a picture of that car, that body, that vision of success, and hang it where you can see it. Every step you take moves you closer !

Keep it real.

Websites and blogs are plentiful when it comes to advice and skills for success motivation. I have found that you can learn something from just about any of them - but expect that relying on the powers of the universe to deliver what you want is simply not realistic. Dump the idea that you will win the lottery, strike it big at the casino or inherit Trump's bank account. Get back to reality and realize that if you want success - it is YOUR business. The motivation to do it comes from being real, and relying on YOU controlling every aspect. Wait for no one.

Now dig deep and find some motivation for your success !

The Life Coach - Comfort Zone

Mmmmm...the comfort zone.

Its main purposes range from providing safety, mental relaxation , and limitation recognition. Overall, the comfort zone is a great place. That is exactly why - we need to start hating it.

The comfort zone as it is usually thought of is where we know what to expect, things are "no stress", and we are relaxed. The comfort zone sounds great doesn't it ?

It has been said that if someone tries something new, or something that challenges them - they get that feeling of uneasyness. This is your comfort zone telling you that you are about to push the limits.

We need to begin to despise the comfort zone. Why would you want to? Simple. The comfort zone displays your resistance to personal success...

Students of personal development search endlessly for the keys to unlock success, wealth, health, and happiness. I know precisely where those keys are...

Right outside of YOUR comfort zone !

When we try something new or different, we expand our boundaries. The end result is stretching our limitations and improving what we are. Change is usually resisted by many. People love routineness and regularity. It can all be found within the comfort zone. When we stay stale, there is no challenge - and therefore - no success. One of the most important keys to finding success is pushing yourself beyond everything you thought was possible.

This is where we need to hate being stuck with the same comfort zone. Stretch it out by experiencing new places, meeting new people and doing new things ! Embrace change and test your limits of self-improvement. Drive outside of that cookie cutter life of yours.

Become comfortable with being uncomfortable...and your comfort zone.

Life Coach - Success Key or Scam ?

Is hiring the services of a life coach the key to your personal success or a scam to make money ?

We recently discussed the basics of what a life coach does and a brief overview of what to think about if a life coach is in your future.

As the profession of becoming a life coach continues to grow, I can't help but wonder - Is a life coach required to make your success a reality, or is this another self-proclaimed professional telling you what to do in return for compensation?

"Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime. " - Chinese Proverb

Students of personal development and self-improvement are constantly striving to bring prosperity, health, happiness and success into their lives. The process of
learning about yourself, your goals, dreams, and what holds you back is a life-long study. But it is one that in the long run will prove to be more educational. On the opposite side, a life coach already knows the majority of these techniques and simply asks the questions that will elicit a response from you.

They ask - you answer.

Other than gaining the answer, where is the true learning? How will you expect to bring success, health, happiness etc. if what you need to do is just given to you generically?

Is a life coach genuinely qualified to make a judgement on aspects of your life ? Is your chosen life coach successful, healthy, happy, and wealthy? Is their vision of success the same as yours? If I were to invest my fortune in the stock market, I would want an investment professional that made alot of money in the market - not one who was broke and managing my money for practice. Do your life coach homework.

The point I am trying to make is ....become your own life coach. Read, learn, and apply personal development techniques from different sources (this site included!) No one said the journey of your life was going to be easy. Success is based on many factors. Learning all about you, and what makes you tick is one of the greatest investments you can make.

Shouldn't you put forth the effort to do what's best for you rather than turn the problems over to someone who doesn't even know ya ?

Visit the Life Coach again for more on success, health, wealth, and personal development skills !

The Life Coach Concept

Whether you know it or not, you should become your own life coach.

Who really knows you better than you? Problems, financial difficulties, relationship strains, mental hang-ups. The roadblocks may be the same, but each is different and unique to the person who faces them. A life coach and their services are unique as well.

The concept of a life coach is relatively new, and seems to really be taking off. Lets look at some of the basics of what life coaches are about, what to look for, and if investing your money on a life coach is going to be a worthy venture.

Life coaching and mentoring is in its beginning stages. People from all walks of life are looking for more in every aspect of their lives. The purpose of a life coach is to "consult" a client, "bring forth" what they want to achieve, and then give them the tools to do so.

This seems like a valid idea. As anyone in a competitive sport knows, coaches give players the guidance to be the best in whatever they play. It would seem that if one is to succeed in the "sport" of life, one would need a life coach as well. Should you get a life coach? How do you know which life coach is the best for you, and who is out to scam you? Read on.

In today's post, I will briefly touch on some ideas related to life coaches and how their "knowledge" may or may not be the best for you to follow. I will get into each individual aspect of life coach particulars during later posts. For now...consider the following...

Know that a life coach is just that - a coach. They may prompt you and encourage you, but don't expect that you will dump your life's problems in their lap, and they will make it all better. Remember that when looking to enlist the services of a life coach.

Carefully review the credentials of those in the life coach business. Will a life coach base their research on bettering your life by using grounded, proven to work principles or are they pitching you "cosmic strategies" from the movie - "The Secret?" Much more on this later.

Do you truly need the services of a life coach - or do you just need some clarity, focus, and lessons in hard work from someone who will teach you without the promise of compensation? (It is out there, and I will show you where.)

Do your research before grabbing up just any life coach. It is your life, so don't entrust just anyone to bring out your potential.

Visit The Life Coach again for much more on making YOU better !

The Life Coach Privacy Policy

The Life Coach - Privacy Policy

This website/blog uses third-party advertising companies to serve ads when visiting this site.
